Brunch @ Belfast Love

Brunch, you sexy bitch, I can't say no to you.

A friend was in Toronto from out of town, so we got 15 people and headed to Belfast Love. I mean, she was only in town for the weekend, I couldn't say no to brunch.

Justifications aside, our table was ready as we trickled in. The coffee was hot, perfect for these chilly days. The Brioche French Toast was calling my name...not in a creepy serial killer kind of way, more of a seductive, sweet maple syrup kind of way. Several of my friends got the Chicken & Waffles. It was everything they thought it would be. The waffle was fluffy, the chicken was crispy and moist. I was a little jealous. My French toast was perfectly browned yet fluffy and topped with a delightful blueberry lemon compote. It was definitely more blueberry than lemon, but there was enough for almost every bite. Yesssss...

The service was great. Even though the group was not overly punctual and people were coming and going, they still kept us happy and full. It was easy to flag a server down to order or get a bill; they were very prompt, but not kicking us out. This is definitely a hidden gem in the brunch world!

They also have a fabulous beer and brunch drink menu.

Go before the regular brunch crowd figures it out!
