Toronto Festival of Beer July 28-30! YAAAY!

The best beer festival of the season is back! Toronto Festival of Beer has made this year especially Canadian to celebrate Canada's 150th. The pavilion this year will be occupied by Canadian breweries, not just our local Ontario deliciousness.  They've also upped their foodie game. TFOB has a Grilling Tent showcasing Toronto's top talent to teach us how to pair food with beer. Even the musical entertainment is top notch; this is going to be an amazing festival!

The pavilion will have beer from coast to coast; a treat for anyone that doesn't get out of the province. They've got many ales from the west, like Central City Brewing and Blindman Brewing. The east coast is represented by brewers like Propeller Brewing and Garrison Brewing, with more ales. Ontario will have a few brewers I haven't heard of, like Napanee Beer Co and Bobcaygeon Brewing, but both didn't only bring ales. Quebec is back with some breweries I've enjoyed at other festivals, like Les Trois Mousquetaires and Le Trou du Diable, and they're not bringing ales! WOO! Sorry, I feel like this pavilion may be a little ale-heavy! Just sayin! There is also a few collaborations going on, so be sure to look out for them. A great selection representing Canada this year

In the spirit of celebrating Canada's 150th birthday, TFOB is not only celebrating beer, but also food! There will be 5 sessions daily with Toronto's top chefs. You probably recognize many from the interwebs or even TV. These culinary gods will be teaching us how to pair food with beer. I know what you're thinking...Pizza. I doubt 15 chefs of this magnitude are serving pizza, so check it out! Everyone learns how to pair wines, but how many learn how to pair with beer? Can't wait!

Can't leave the incredible music line up out of this blog! The entertainment looks so good this year, it was hard to choose what day to go. Method Man and Redman are kicking it all off on Friday. Sloan keeps the party going on Saturday. Alan Doyle(Great Big Sea) & The Beautiful Gypsies finish it off on Sunday. How do you choose?!

I've been 2 years in a row and can't wait to go back for a third. This festival is always fun-loving and an all-around good time. It's been selling out quickly, so get tickets, if you can! You won't regret it!
