Billie Jax - The New Gastropub in Town

In the former location of Hooters, Billie Jax has transformed the location into an open concept, classier sports bar.

When you walk in, you're almost in the kitchen! The kitchen has no walls and you can see all of the staff working diligently. There is a beautiful bar boasting a great variety of craft beer. They know how to get me! There are many TVs with different channels on, but you can see a screen from almost anywhere.

The menu is not your typical bar menu, it's a gastropub, but they couldn't leave off the pub classics, like fish and chips! Their burgers are fantastic. I tried the Billie Jax burger and the West Coast burger, both super awesome. Regular and sweet potato fries are also quite good. Burgers are served on a brioche bun, so you're not overwhelmed by a ton of bread. I've also tried their Butternut Squash Ravioli with Jumbo Shrimp and it was fantastic. I would definitely get that again!

The dessert menu is small, but if you need something sweet, these w…

Fresh Eats at the Lil Organic Kitchen

Located in the plaza between Canada Computer and TNS Health is this gem. Upon entering, you see comfy couches, tables and window seatings. Clean lines all around! You can see into the bright, spacious kitchen as well.

Once you are facing the menu, you are instantly overwhelmed. SO MANY CHOICES! The lovely lady that helped us was able to narrow it down. Salads are sold by weight and they have lots of sandwiches, soups, burgers and desserts ALL ORGANIC. The prices were reasonable and the portions are good.
My mom and I both got wraps and half a container of salad. I got a Veggie Wrap with Smoked Tofu Salad and my mom got a BBQ Chicken Wrap with Roasted Eggplant Salad. We were stuffed. We swapped half a wrap so we could try both. Both were winners! It hadreal BBQ chicken, lots of greens and some veganese(vegan mayo, but you wouldn't know it). My veggie wrap was hearty, full of roasted peppers, goat cheese, eggplant and sprouts. The service was great and the food was excellent! I'm d…

Girls Night at Fieramosca

Girls night out! That being said, we wanted some hearty, not to mention tasty, food before our evening out. We were all running a little late, but they held our reservation. I arrived first; our table was at the back and ready. Not a large restaurant as it used to be a home. It's not crowded by any means. Classic features and comfortable chairs. So far, so good.
The rest of our party arrived and our fabulous server was there to take our orders. Another server brought over a complimentary slice of bruschetta while we waited. Mmmmmm. He brought our drinks, a fresh bread basket and went over the specials. They sounded so good, I crumbled and ditched my original choice for the Stuffed Gnocchi with Mushrooms and Sundried Tomatoes in a Rose Sauce($22). My friends ordered Spaghetti Mare Di Mario(seafood in spaghetti for $25), Salisiccia E Quaglia Alla Griglia(4 types of meat for $28) and Bomba Pizza(cheese, green peppers, sausage, onions for $18).
After the bruschetta and trying to abstain …
