Decadence at Descendant

Time for more pizza! This time we headed to Descendant Detroit Style Pizza. It's a small venue with really cool artwork on the walls. We had reservations and it was packed! Luckily, we didn't have to wait long for our table to be ready. By the time we got seated, there was a line up to the door. This must be good!

They had a small, but good, selection of drinks from craft beer to fancy iced teas. The pizza menu changes regularly, so your favourite today, may not be available next week! What makes the pizza here special is that it's upsidedown: the sauce is on top. Unusual, but irresistable. The thick Sicilian crust, layered with pepperoni, cheese and sauce creates a new pizza experience.

A friend and I shared a Double Pep. Lots of cheese, lots of sauce and 2 kinds of pepperoni made this pie disappear fast. The crust was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This crust will never be abandon on a plate! They had a few other pizzas there for the spicy at heart. Some of the spicy people at the table had troubles deciding. The white pizza got rave reviews as well!

The service was great, very friendly, fun people. The chefs were churning out pizzas as fast as they could to please the patrons eating in as well as the ones waiting for takeout. In a lot of cases, being busy can affect quality, but not here. Each person in my group was happy with their pie, myself included. This place has such a good vibe, I'm not surprised it's so busy.

This place deserves a repeat visit!
